Marketing Communications (http://www.hkamarcom.com/), brings to the board nearly two decades of leadership-based communications experience spanning brand marketing, community relations and national/local publicity.

“The First Tee of Orange County is committed to selecting for its board of directors community leaders who bring new and unique dimensions to our leadership team,” said Gail Krause, executive director of The First Tee of Orange County.  “Kevin’s comprehensive knowledge of the game of golf, including his enthusiasm for the core values it illustrates, makes him an ideal addition to the board, and we’re excited to add him as we strive to positively impact the lives of the young people involved in our programs.”

A longtime Orange County resident, Cal State Fullerton alumnus and devoted golfer, Twer will support the board in bolstering the First Tee of Orange County’s visibility locally and increasing awareness for its cause.  With nearly 20 years of multifaceted public relations and marketing communications experience to his credit, coupled with previous community service as an Irvine City Council appointee to its Renters’ Advisory Task Force, Twer’s background will enhance an already talented leadership group.

“I have long admired The First Tee on a national level and jumped at the opportunity to help guide the local chapter of such a distinguished organization in advancing its mission,” said Twer. “I am honored to take a leadership role with The First Tee of Orange County and look forward to helping elevate such a worthy and relatively new nonprofit in a community I’m proud to call home.”
