PRLog -- we all have read countless stories of artist that was some how was overlooked by the music industry or ahead of there time this best describes moody scott born the son of a share cropper hometown hammond louisiana tangipahoa parish of louisiana he became a part of early music history by his direct music association with american iconic songwriters and record producers rock n roll hall of fame inductees jerry leiber & mike stoller of then red bird daisy records new york moody frist began his recording with the leiber & stoller team in 1964 with the origional version of the classic song everybody come clap your hands written by hall of fame recording artist and song writers ellie greenwhicn & husband jeff barry the song also featured the background vocals of the famous new orleans dixie cups / chapel of love fame moody just recently performed at his own music festival sat oct 3rd so today we had the chance to do this at home interview after his sucessful event in tecopa marie moody you just finished your 2015 tecopa music festival how did it go ? MOODY marie iam happty to announce that the 3rd annual end of summer festival was indeed a sucess due to the fact that we picked the best time of the year bringing in the fall season plus when you combine awesome foods and music together its a perfect fit and it seems that each year the crowds increases we had people that came out of state for this year event i feel that marketing and promoitional attention will be focus on a lot of out of state music fans rather than the locals who knows about the annual status of the event .MARIE moody you seem to exert a lot of energy at the age of 73where does it all come from ?MOODYi just dont really no i guess its a part of my work drive from my daddy & the spiritual awareness of my deceased beloved mother and my strong faith and postive self determination MARIE. moody what are your plans after the tecopa event do you plan any other performaces?
and can you please tell us why you dont perform that much. yes i am planning some out of state events that my staff is putting together which may hopefully include dates in louisiana and nevada and oakland ca marie i really have my plate full we will start taping segments of my moody scott entertainment cooking show and iam behind from completing my life story and working on doing a new album for 2016 and lauching my creole cajun catering company company 2016 . i would love to perform locally however the venus dont have or have the decent entertainment budgets and i refused to be pimped by them after all my back up musicians must be paid a fare wage for render of there professional musical services period . i have no problems packing a full house of fans here in vegas one of the main reasons is that iam noted for giving my fans an outstanding performace so with this being said if the venu want my services just pay me for my many years within the music entertainment industry other wise i will continue to opt out of performing here in vegas and or promote my own events MARIE moody ive heard to the grape vine that you are very hard to get along with is this true?yes in a sense thats true especially if you are an unprofessional musicians thats willing to wing your music responsibilities and want do your music home work to me the word show buniess is exactley what it is show me your talent and treat it as a business of which it is if iam critized because of this tough stance then so be it one must excel and be true to ones self when it comes to the music industry.marie moody thank you fortaking the time out from your busy schedule for this interview due to your time i look forwared to our second follow up interview concerning your music and career MOODY THANKS MARIE AND MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU !
