American Paper & Twine Co. Announces The Teacher of the Week for Week Four

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- “We are only four weeks in to the Tennessee Titans football season, and we have already selected an incredible group of educators who represent what it means to be a great teacher, and this week’s winner is no exception,” said Lonnie Spivak, American Paper & Twine Co. e-Commerce and Marketing Manager. “By all accounts, Mrs. Anderson is a supremely qualified teacher. We are extremely happy to reward her efforts by naming her Teacher of the Week.”

In my 20+ years in education, I've seldom seen someone begin their career at top-level status as Mrs. Anderson did in August of 2011,” said Lance Taylor, Guild Elementary School principal. “Mrs. Anderson is a meticulously, thorough planner of lessons of the highest quality. She pours herself into her work—working as much with her heart for the children, as her immense intellect, and her work ethic is second to none.”

Principal Taylor continued to say, “Mrs. Anderson's rapport with the children is the epitome of what every principal, parent, and student wants from a teacher. She's already a leader among leaders; confident, yet humble. I cannot imagine a better third grade teacher in any school, especially a high-poverty school like Guild, in which a teacher like Ashley has such a profound impact, short- and long-term.”

Each week during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a $400 gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced every Tennessee Titans game and at the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a gift basket of school supplies (worth approx. $800) and tickets to the December 28th game vs. the Indianapolis Colts.
