POPPED and Downtown's Banger Brewing Pair Beer with Popcorn in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- POPPED is now available at Banger Brewing, 450 Fremont St # 135, in downtown Las Vegas.

Marc Longwith, owner of Banger Brewing, said Popped popcorn is an ideal complement to beer.

“Anything salty pairs well with beer,” Longwith said. “We all love the Buffalo Ranch popcorn paired with our El Heffe (Jalapeño Hefeweizen).  It’s spicy popcorn with a beer that has just enough spice but not over the top. They both showcase their flavors well. Also our Knight Ryeder Imperial Stout goes amazing with Popped’s  Chocolate Tide popcorn. Dark chocolate, dark rich beer  and New Zealand sea salt sounds like a meal in itself.”

Banger Brewing is open  Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 12 midnight, Friday and Saturday from noon to 1 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 12 midnight.

Popped's managing partners worked together at a fine dining restaurant before entering the retail popcorn business, so they are passionate about popcorn pairings.  Popped is also served as a bar snack at an area bourbon bar.

"It was a proud moment when the crew at Banger Brewing called us and requested our popcorn as a main stay in their facility," said Olivier Morowati, managing partner at Popped. "Popcorn and beer seemed like an American dream to me."

He said popcorn and beer go together better than any other snack item he's had. "Master sommeliers and brew masters say popcorn is the best pairing for champagne, beer and fine wines."

Banger Brewing offers a variety of special events and promotions including Paws and Pints on October 19, 2014 from noon to 4 p.m.  with $1 of every beer purchase going to Adopt a Rescue Pet.  Bingo and Beers is the first Wednesday of every month, featuring nine games and free prizes, with the grand prize being a keg party.

Popped has two retail locations , one at 9480 S. Eastern Avenue and another at 3700 S. Hualapai Way.
