eIntern Looking For Future Programmers at NOVA Career Fair

eIntern will be at NOVA's STEM-focused career fair offering internship opportunities to current and future job seekers looking to get into software development, computer programming and learning the most in-demand technical skills.

FAIRFAX, Va. - Sept. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- eIntern will be attending the upcoming Northern Virginia Community College's (NOVA) Workforce Development Career Fair meeting with entry-level job seekers to introduce them to the eIntern platform and get them started in their career.

While the media, the blogosphere and policy experts brainstorm on what to do, how long it will take to make a change and debate on whose idea is the best, eIntern is providing a solution that is:

1. available right now,

2. doesn't cost anyone anything,

3. is reachable anywhere in the country where there's an internet connection,

4. trains specifically on the technical skills most in demand by employers,

5. provides a mentor to give guidance to eInterns,

6. develops soft skills such as time management and problem solving skills, and

7. is becoming the go to source for companies to find highly skilled IT professionals who don't require months of on-the-job training.

eIntern solves the oxymoron because its internship platform is classified as a work experiential internship. The projects successfully completed not only count as work experience, but eInterns build a 3-D portfolio showcasing their technical skills based on real-world enterprise level projects similar to what employers are looking for.

Making it even easier for companies to identify the perfect fit, each technical skill learned on an internship is given an equivalency rating. Companies looking for skills such as Microsoft.NET, MVC and JavaScript are able to see a measurement of each particular skill, identify strengths and potential, and review months of actual projects to confirm those skills have been tried and tested.

In its partnership with NOVA, eIntern will be meeting with area job seekers to offer internship opportunities. The career fair will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Ernst Cultural Center on the NOVA Annandale Campus located at 8333 Little River Turnpike.
