By: San Jacinto Mall “Our October events are a great way to celebrate all things fall,” said Mary Evans, General Manager of San Jacinto Mall. “From a day spent outdoors pumpkin shopping and appreciating art to an evening of entertainment and trick-or-treating, there’s something for everyone at San Jacinto Mall this October.” Fall Market, Saturday & Sunday, October 4 & 5 San Jacinto Mall’s Fall Market will feature original accessories, apparel, jewelry and other handicrafts created by local artisans and craftsmen. The event will take place Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 5, from noon to 6 p.m. in the mall’s Food Court and Center Court. Farmers Market & Pumpkin Patch, Saturday & Sunday, October 18 & 19 Shoppers who are fans of the Houston Ballet’s annual Nutcracker Market will love San Jacinto Mall’s Farmers Market, featuring handmade works of art, crafts and edible treats in 30-plus tented booths. Many of the vendors also participate in the Nutcracker Market. Shoppers can also purchase a pumpkin and take their own photos in the pumpkin patch. The fall-themed event will take place Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to dusk, and Sunday, October 19, from noon to dusk in the mall’s parking lot, near Johnny Carino’s. As part of Saturday’s (October 18) festivities, MC Dance Studio, Zumba at the Mall will lead a Dance-off for Pediatric Cancer benefiting B.I.G. Love Cancer Care in honor of “Alex” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot near Johnny Carino’s. The public can join in on the fun with $1 minimum donation. Mall-O-Ween, Friday, October 31 Children are invited to San Jacinto Mall Friday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for store-to-store trick-or-treating and a costume contest.
