By: irish shopper The first 1920 pattern ARRs were destined for service with British Armoured Car Companies in Mesopotamia. However, the worsening situation for the British in the War of Independence, which had broken out in January 1919, led to the cars being diverted for service in Ireland with the 5th Armoured Car Company of the Royal Tank Corps. Sliabh na mBan Armoured Rolls Royce Car Michael Collins was an Irish revolutionary leader, Minister for Finance and Teachta Dala for Cork South in the First Dail of 1919. He was Director of Intelligence for the IRA, and member of the Irish delegation during the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations. Born October 16th, 1890 in Clonakilty. Full Name : Micheal Sean O Coileain. Assasinated : August 22, 1922, Beal na Blath. Buried : Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin. The Bronze Model of the Sliabh na mBan Armoured Rolls Royce Car which formed part of General Michael Collins convoy which was ambushed on 22nd of August,1922 at Beal na mBlath in West Cork.
