"One World, Many Voices" Kicks off Waukesha Choral Union Season

 
WAUKESHA, Wis. - Sept. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- “One World, Many Voices,” a concert of songs celebrating world cultures, will be presented by the Waukesha Choral Union 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard St., Waukesha.

    Guest performers joining the 40-member troupe will be the Hartford Union High School Choir.

    Tickets are $15 per adult, $13 for seniors and students and $4 per child under 12. They are available at www.choralunion.org, by calling 414-297-9310 or at any Waukesha State Bank location.

    Waukesha Choral Union is entering its 41st year. The remaninder of the 2014-15 concerts include:

 Joy To The World” – holiday music meant to perfectly begin the season. Two concerts. The first will be 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186. The second will be 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at St. Catherine’s Church, W359 N8512 Brown St., Oconomowoc, WI 53066

“Messiah”- Handel’s beautiful sacred music is a spring holiday favorite. 3 p.m. March 29 at Carroll University’s Shattuck Auditorium, 218 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 Note that this is a free performance, supported annually through the generosity of the late Fred and JoAnn Portz.

“The World’s A Stage” – featuring music from Broadway and opera. 7:30 p.m., May 2 at Carroll University’s Humphrey Memorial Chapel, 238 N. East St., Waukesha, 53186
