Brooklyn Entrepreneur, Matthew Dweck, Selected as a 2014 Forty Under 40 Winner

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Sept. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Matthew Dweck, Founder of BH Pet Gear, has been named a winner in the 2014 Pet Age Forty Under 40 awards program. The awards program is produced by Pet Age, a national publication covering all things in the pet industry, providing the latest industry news and more.

The Forty Under 40 awards program honors men and women under the age of 40 who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, to professional excellence and to the community. To qualify, a nominee had to meet selection criteria that included working in the pet industry and possessing significant authority for decision making within a company or organization.

Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges including: Laurie Johnson, Executive Director, Florida Little Dog Rescue; Nancy Hassel, Founder and President, Long Island Pet Professionals; and John Cullen, Principal, Bulldog Marketing & Sales.

It’s no surprise this ambitious and successful Brooklyn entrepreneur has been selected as a 2014 winner. Matthew Dweck, Founder of BH Pet Gear, and current president has been in the pet industry since 2011. Previously Matthew founded The Dweck Group, a real estate firm, and also worked at Haddad Apparel.

Matthew started BH Pet Gear with the Beverly Hills Polo Club pet license, a fashion lifestyle brand. He quickly signed a licensing agreement with the American Kennel Club to manufacture their pet apparel as well. In 2012 Matthew, along with the BH Pet Gear Team, invented the patented Calming Coat, which has been a top selling item. Not only does BH Pet Gear work with licenses, it also manufactures private label products for some of the top pet specialty retailers in America.
