About the Healing Justice Task Force of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton: The Healing Justice Task Force came about as a result of the study of Michelle Alexander's book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in an Age of Color Blindness. After realizing how broken the justice system has become, some of those studying the book decided it wasn't enough to just read about it, it was time to turn anger into constructive action by bringing awareness to these issues through a film and conversation series. The Task Force is currently focusing on the issues of voter's rights and juvenile justice as part of a larger movement to bring justice to an ailing "justice" system. About the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County and The Voting Rights Coalition: The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County is a nonpartisan political organization of women and men of all ages and backgrounds, encouraging informed and active participation in government through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that voting is a fundamental citizen right that must be guaranteed.
