Patrice Cunningham named Florida Kiwanis Outstanding District Chair

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Sept. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Connie Ramos Williams (http://www.conricpr.com/about-us/connie-ramos-williams/), CEO and President of CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing is proud to announce Patrice Cunningham, the firm’s Marketing Director, was named the 2013 – 2014 Outstanding District Chair at the Kiwanis 97th Annual Florida District Convention in Boca Raton. A member of the Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis club, Cunningham received this top honor in the state out of 33 chairpersons across 270 clubs in 26 divisions.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.  Cunningham served as Social Media Chair to the Florida Kiwanis Governor for 2013 – 2014, Matthew Cantrall, and has been appointed to continue to serve in that role under the new governor for 2014 – 2015.

Cunningham, who also presented two workshops on social media to fellow district chairs at the convention, was recognized for consistently exceeding the expectations of her position without prompting, direction or coaxing. A Kiwanis member for six years, Cunningham has been a Florida District chairperson for four years, serving overlapping terms as Social Media Chair and as chair for the Every Child a Swimmer initiative. She also serves as the Social Media Chair for her local club. In her social media-related roles, she encourages and enables clubs to celebrate their members, promote their events and meetings, create awareness of the clubs’ projects and attract new members.

“I am proud to serve alongside my fellow chairs who do outstanding work and donate their time to our children and communities across the state,” Cunningham said. “I am humbled by the recognition and proud to share across social media the great work our Kiwanis family does on a daily basis.”
