PHOENIX - Sept. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Just this week, a new report from BCC Research offered further evidence that the indoor air quality industry continues to expand.  The study looked at recent trends that bode well for companies that provide products and services for this growing market.

According to the BCC Research report summary:

- The U.S. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) market was over $7.7 billion in 2013 and is expected to grow to $8.1 billion in 2014 and $11.4 billion by 2019, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.0% over the next five years.
- The equipment segment of this market, which was valued at $3.9 billion in 2013, is expected to reach nearly $4.1 billion in 2014 and $5.8 billion in 2019, a CAGR of 7.4%.
- The environmental services segment, including mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and radon mitigation, was almost $2.1 billion in 2013, and is expected to grow to nearly $2.2 billion in 2014 and $3.0 billion in 2019, a CAGR of 6.6%.

The IAQ industry is made up of a diverse group of companies that range from sole proprietorships to large corporations.  Regardless of the company size, those who have positioned themselves for expansion have already benefited from the growth trend.  Companies that have not yet participated in the market expansion should analyze their marketing and sales efforts to ensure they have evolved to take advantage of changes in consumer behavior.

Cochrane & Associates, a marketing and business development firm that specializes in working with companies in the indoor air quality industry, has spent the last nine years helping companies maximize their return on investment as they help companies harness the power of the internet to grow their IAQ companies.   “Companies that have not evolved to change how they market their products and services to keep up with changing consumer behaviors will likely have a hard time growing their businesses because savvy competitors are already utilizing the wide array of marketing tools that are now available via the internet,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, LLC.  “Successful IAQ companies need to have an ongoing focus on their internet presence.  This includes a company’s website, search engine optimization, online videos, blogs, e-newsletters, press releases, online advertising, social media and more.  The great news is most of these internet-based marketing efforts can be done for minimal cost while providing tremendous exposure opportunities.”
