Fresh Success Marketing Group Participates In Charitable Efforts

The latest beneficiaries of their giving philosophy include the San Antonio Food Bank and the ALS Association. Team members offered their time to the food bank garden and participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise funds for ALS research. In addition to assisting these two great organizations, time spent on charity also strengthened the bonds with the company's workforce.

Fresh Success Marketing Group Provided Services and Donations to One Local and One National Cause

Fresh Success Marketing Group team members Clarrisa, Brianna, Frankie, Nicole, and Nathan joined Trang, the firm’s director of operations, to garden and enjoy good weather while volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank. "In 2013, the food bank provided nearly 50 million pounds of food," stated Trang. "It provides needed assistance to people in poverty and donating our time forms a link between our firm and the community."

The San Antonio Food Bank provides food assistance to 16 counties. It also maintains the Spurs Community Garden which demanded the bulk of the volunteer efforts. The garden provides fruits and vegetables as part of its food stores. It contains 12 vegetable lots, fruit trees, bee hives, and a walking trail.

"We had fun farming the vegetables," explained Trang. "In addition to providing ingredients to the kitchens, it is also a demo space that shows people how to raise their own produce. Encouraging this urban agriculture can keep people fed and provide a more cost-effective way to produce food."

Team members also embraced a recent national cause. The social media phenomenon, the Ice Bucket Challenge, raised $111.1 million as of September 9^th. Fresh Success Marketing Group leaders and associates took a video of their participation and donated $100 to the ALS Association.

"It was a fun team-building exercise that also contributed to an organization with a strong track record of low administration costs. Most of their money goes to support and research in the quest to find a cure for ALS," said Trang.
