HOUSTON - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- From the Cutest Couple in a Utah Junior High to a top-selling real estate broker in Houston, Creston and Holly Inderrieden are one successful couple. And they’re still cute!

Successful because their company, IndyQuest Properties, sold 74 houses last year and are on track to sell 100 this year. Successful as they raise 3 children (2 girls and a boy) to be unique persons with good values. Successful as they mentor others and volunteer in their community. Successful as they sustain a great work-life-marriage-family balance.

“We firmly believe that the best road to true success it to put other people’s needs before your own – whether it’s a client, a staff member or a friend.” That maxim has served them well in business where their motto is “Your Dream is Our Quest.” Out of the 90,000 real estate agents in Texas Creston is placed at Number 102 in units sold. It’s not hard to imagine that most of their new clients come from referrals from their past clients.

Interviewer David Lorms told them, “You are two of the most driven people I have ever met.” The couple believes in the motto, “If you’re passionate about what you do, you’ll never ‘work’ a day again.”

The Inderriedens also believe in finding guidance along life’s journey. When Holly had finished her first degree in Utah, she applied to many schools for her MBA. The couple was interested in Texas A&M because of the admirable reputation of the Business School and the welcoming cost of living in College Station. While driving around the area, they stopped a stranger on the street for directions. He proceeded to give them what they asked for and then stopped traffic for them to make a U-turn in order to get to their destination! Later, while perusing a map during a meal break, their waitress discovered it was their first trip to Texas and promptly brought out the restaurant manager to meet and welcome them. “Holy Cow,” they said. “If all the people here are like this --- we’re in good shape!” Holly entered TAMU’s grad school a semester before Creston could be admitted to finish his undergrad (because of deadlines to accept undergrad transfers). While at a party with Holly’s new classmates, Creston told his situation to a party guest who answered, “You should meet my dad – he’s the Assistant Dean in the Business School.” He met with the Dean, told him about himself and got into the Business school in 1 semester! It’s the only time that rule has been broken!

Finding a mentor – or recognizing when one comes into your life – is also important to the couple. Knowing he would not be admitted into TAMU when he arrived in College Station, Creston sent letters to 50 area businesses. One of two replies came from Dr. Clifford Fry of RRC, telling Creston to come by and see him when he was “back in town.” Dr. Fry was his employer during Holly’s first semester in school. When Creston started school during the second semester, he cut down on his hours – and Dr. Fry increased his salary so he could keep the same income! Dr. Fry has been Creston’s mentor ever since.

“Know when you’re having an Epiphany and Act on It” is yet another of their morsels of wisdom. Moving to Houston when they graduated, Creston began working for Protiviti. The Inderriedens were planning to buy a house and he was traveling a lot for the company. That’s when Creston decided to use the empty 3 hours a night in his hotel room to study for his real estate license. He figured he’d sell 1 house a year and consider the commission a “bonus.” In 2007, after the birth of their first child, he sold 8 houses and in 2008 Holly earned her real estate license and they closed on 18. When Creston received his bonus check from Proviti for a year of hard work and travel away from his family, Creston realized it was smaller than one of his commissions! “There is no reason NOT to pursue real estate,” they believed and took a Leep of Faith to put all their business energies there. Their business has grown from there.

One secret to their marital success is to appreciate the balance between the two people. Holly says her weaknesses are his strengths. “I have never seen anyone who works so hard” she comments, “He’s pure unbridled energy.” Creston replies, “Holly is a saint! She helps me channel my energy. She’s also the smartest person I know.”

Creston is a part of “Real Men Read” which brings professional men to lower income schools. He is participating in his third campus, Durham Elementary. He likes to let kids ask him questions – some are silly, and some are profound. “I always try to bring it back to having a vision of where they want to go.”

Holly is a part of Shepherd Park Plaza’s strong women’s group, Plaza Moms. 100 women in 2 neighborhoods hold events for kids. She’s also part of her son’s PTA where she is making sure her voice is heard for the betterment of all the kids. “It’s just great – and I have made lots of friends, too.”

Lorms comments that they must be the busiest people he has ever met as well! “You have a thriving business, three young children and make time for your community. Aren’t you tired?” he laughs. Creston answers with the old saw, “If you want something done, ask a busy person. We wouldn’t trade it for all the free time we used to have. One of our favorite quotes is, ‘When you pursue your passion and what you’re destined to do, you will be helped along the way, so it’s fun.” Holly adds, “Am I impacting people for good and am I having fun? It only becomes work when you don’t enjoy what you’re doing.”

The new office is located at 2902 North Shepherd, Which is Loop 610 at Shepherd. They are actively looking for experienced agents with similar values and belief. They want hard workers who have ethics and morals. “Now that our business is a brokerage, I want to focus on THEIR success and help them grow and learn,” says Creston.
