Oceanside Harbor Days September 27 & 28

The Annual Oceanside Harbor Days event will be held September 27and 28^h, 2014.  This event is sponsored by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and presented by Genentech and USAA.

Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of events and attractions and soak in the fun.  The event features over 200 arts and craft exhibits, a great food court and a beer garden sponsored by Prohibition Brewing Company.  With a fishing derby, beauty pageant, Tiki Swim and more, Harbor Days never runs out of fun!

The 2nd annual Amateur (and we mean amateur!) Sand Castle competition will be held on Saturday, September 27^th.  This event is great for kids of all ages, groups and organizations. “Fun in the Sand” is sponsored by the Harbor Merchants Association and promises to be a big hit.

Several popular bands will be performing on our main stage including The Decades Band, Blues Cartel, Gone Blonde, the Flying Mangos, Jamie Beeman, Abrakadabra, Clay Colton and UpStream.

In a salute to our military, the Navy’s LCAC from ACU-5 will land on the beach early Saturday morning and vehicles from Camp Pendleton’s Mechanized Museum will be on display on the Harbor Beach.

Always a crowd favorite, Sunday’s "Nail and Sail" competition draws thousands of spectators.  Teams race to build a boat from scratch and then two person teams must row across the harbor and back.  Don’t miss the fun to see who will sink first or if there will be a new reigning champion!

Be sure to take advantage of free parking at the Transit Center and take the double decker busses to the Harbor.  They’ll be running all weekend and are free!
