Follow on Google News | Helping charities save time and money with eLearningWith increased demand for charity services and budgets under pressure it’s never been more important to make the most of L&D. A seminar on 1 October will show how eLearning can save charities time & money, reach more learners and boost productivity
Members of the Consortium come from a variety of charities, not for profits, housing associations and voluntary sector organisations. They come together to share the cost of eLearning, and network to exchange best practice and expertise. Stella O'Neill, L&D Special Projects Manager at the charity CRI (http://www.cri.org.uk/) “I think the Charity Learning Consortium is excellent value for money,” said Stella. “Not only do you get a whole suite of eLearning courses – more than you could afford to pay for out of your learning and development budget – it’s the support as well that you get. If you have any problems, there’s a team of people that you can go to. “I find the members meetings and member support invaluable... There’s a sense of community, you get to interact with other charities that are having the same problems that you’re having in the eLearning World.” Delegates will discover all the benefits of joining the Consortium, which includes a flexible learning management system and access to a huge variety of editable courseware, including a complimentary authoring tool. The Consortium helps members make the most of the eLearning on offer, as well as providing regular seminars and workshops, online training and an annual conference with world class speakers. This unique collaborative approach means that cost effective, quality eLearning is on offer to more than 500,000 staff and volunteers across the third sector in the UK – engaging staff that other learning & development simply doesn’t reach.
