Dabur Egypt Limited, a leading company known for its legacy in manufacturing premier personal care products in Egypt, continues to prove itself as a one of the most trusted and recognized personal and healthcare companies in Egypt. The company has achieved a robust financial performance by start of 2014, supported by a 28 per cent increase in sales volume in Q1. The announcement follows the 18 per cent increase in sales of parent company Dabur International during said period.

Dabur Egypt further revealed that it expects total sales to reach EGP 350 million during fiscal 2014/2015, up by 30 per cent from last year’s EGP 265 million. The company looks to increase this figure tremendously by 2018, through extensive investments in the local market in the next four years. This plan is part of the company’s horizontal expansion strategy in Egypt, the second largest market for Dabur in terms of investments and sales, after India.

Anoop Sharma, General Manager, Dabur Egypt Limited, said: “We saw remarkable results at the start of this fiscal year, having achieved significant financial milestones in Q1 of 2014, in line with the company’s four-year plan 2012/2016 for further expansion and growth in Egypt to promote its leading position in the personal and healthcare landscape. The strong financial performance we have achieved is part of our successful mid-term plan and demonstrates our utmost commitment to maintain highest standards of quality, reliability and diversity to meet customer aspirations and exceed their expectations.”

Another contributor to the increase in Dabur Egypt’s total sales is its improved productivity and operational proficiency, following the launch of its new 20,500 sqm manufacturing facility in Egypt and the acquisition of new production lines as well. Egypt is considered a key market for Dabur Egypt in terms of sales, where Dabur Amla Hair Oils holds 20 per cent of market share, while Vatika products accounts for 40 per cent.

Established in Egypt in 1996, Dabur Egypt Limited is a subsidiary of Dabur International Group. It provides natural health and personal care products, including hair oils, shampoo, skin and oral care products. The company also has a strong presence in neighboring regional markets such as Morocco and other countries in Central Africa.
