to continue through 2015-16 season
A dynamic young conductor whose articulate command of the opera and orchestral stages has resulted in increased commitments both nationally and abroad, Tebar will continue to lead FGO productions through the 2015-16 season as Principal Conductor. Well-known in the Southern Florida classical music scene, Maestro Tebar is also Artistic Director of the Palm Beach Symphony (a post he has held since 2010). He was recently elected to the posts of Artistic Director of Opera Naples and Music Director of the Dominican Republic’s biannual Festival Musical de Santo Domingo. Maestro Tebar is considered a rising star in the opera and symphonic worlds. According to General Director and CEO Susan T. Danis, FGO is “fortunate to have Ramón’s continued involvement with the organization during this explosive stage of his career.” "I am honored to continue to work with this incredible organization,” Maestro Tebar has the distinction of being the first Spanish conductor to lead a major American Opera Company and one of the youngest Music Directors in America. This upcoming FGO season Maestro Tebar will conduct Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and Wolfgang Mozart’s Così fan tutte. End
