Henderson Properties Starts Annual Food Drive

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The following Henderson Properties communities are participating in this food drive and assisting in the fight against hunger in North Carolina: 28th Ro Condominiums, Lake Park Townhomes, Brookstone Apartments, The Villages of Leacroft, and Woodcroft at Davis Lake. These communities and their residents should be applauded for their generosity.

The general public is also invited and encouraged to drop off food at any of the Henderson Properties offices during business hours. The drop off locations include:

• Charlotte – 919 Norland Road

• Indian Trail – 4389 Indian Trail-Fairview Road, Suite 15

• Davidson – 452 S. Main Street, Unit J

• Fort Mill, SC – 2012 W. Hwy 160, Suite 26

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm (all); Sat, 9am-1pm (Norland Road only)

All Henderson Properties offices will be accepting donations until September 26. There will be a barrel or box in the lobby. On that Friday, September 26 at 2pm, the team from Second Harvest will come to the Norland Road office to pick up all of the food that has been collected at the offices and participating communities.

Last year, 1,400 lbs of food was collected and donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. This year, the goal is to collect 1,500 lbs of food for hungry families in the Charlotte area. This will go to help the 650 charitable agencies that they service, including soup kitchens, low-income daycares and emergency shelters.
