Health Alert: New Video Explains Why Stress May Be Today’s Biggest Health Threat

As this holistic doctor explains in a newly released video, stress may be one of today’s most serious health threats. He also offers a safe and natural solution.

TORRANCE, Calif. - Sept. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Today, Sun Chlorella USA releases a new video explaining the destructive nature of stress. The video features chiropractic doctor, Matthias Maas. In the video, Dr. Maas offers people new insights on the effects of stress on the body. Dr. Maas also offers a powerful natural solution that can help minimize this problem in their lives.

As a growing body of research demonstrates, chronic stress isn’t just a headache or an annoyance.  It’s a physical change in the body. And some of these changes over time can be life-threatening . . .

·         The World Health Organization has called stress “the epidemic of the 21st century”; and

·         The American Medical Association says 80-85% of all doctor’s visits can be traced back to stress.

“Most of us are used to stress in our lives,” explains holistic doctor, Matthias Maas, DC. “We’re familiar with how it makes us tense, gives us headaches and even causes us to grind our teeth. But what many of people don’t realize when they contend with daily stress is this:  Stress is a killer. For this reason, stress relief is more of a lifesaver than we may think!”

As Dr. Carol Shively, Ph D., a professor and medical researcher at Wake Forest School of Medicine and other researchers have demonstrated, the physical changes the body goes through in response to stress may be helpful over the short term.

But over the long term they’re deadly, linked to higher blood pressure, cholesterol levels and plaque build-up in the arteries.

“People think of stress as something that keeps them up at night or something that makes them yell at their kids,” says Dr. Shively, “But if you asked me what stress is, I’d say it’s this huge plaque in your artery. This is stress.”

And it gets worse . . . Stress’ fatal impact isn’t just felt in the cardiovascular system. It impacts people’s lifespan at the genetic level.

One landmark study demonstrated this like no other. University of San Francisco researchers tracked 58 mothers aged twenty to fifty. About 40 of these mothers had a chronically ill children, the remaining group had healthy children.

The mothers who had enormous caretaking burdens on them due to their child's illness reported much more stress, understandably, than the control group who had healthy children.

The scientists then decided to look at the mother's DNA. What they found was shocking. By measuring the women’s telomeres, a part of the DNA strands, the researchers concluded chronic stress had caused these women to age faster at the genetic level!

There are some powerful ways to shrink this health-destroying monster down to size:

·         Exercise raises the body’s stress threshold and over time helps the body react to stress less dramatically.

·         Sleep helps the body recover from stress. Simply not getting sufficient sleep can increase the body’s production of stress hormones.

·         Meditation – even as little as 5 minutes – can help shift the body’s stress response and help restore calm when under pressure.

“I strongly recommend all these natural forms of stress relief to my patients,” notes Dr. Maas. “In addition, I also often suggest they tap into one of nature’s most powerful stress mediator  - the herb eleuthero. An adaptogenic herb, eleuthero helps your body adapt to stressors in your life. While eleuthero can’t necessarily dissolve plaque in your arteries or lengthen your telomeres, eleuthero has the amazing ability to help your body take on stressful situations better and reduce the damage in your body caused by stress.”

Many herbalists consider eleuthero one of nature’s most powerful herbs for all-over vitality and wellness. And it’s incredibly safe. One of the most extensively researched herbs, eleuthero has no documented side effects. Finally, for exceptional benefits, consumers can now find organic eleuthero supplements, certified to be free of contaminants.
