Key features include:
▪ 69 cubic inch V twin engine – Indian Motorcyles’ first liquid-cooled engine, for greater efficiency
▪ Lightweight chassis for ease of movement
▪ Premium suspension for a smooth riding experience
▪ Low centre of gravity and superior angles for better balance
▪ New dessert tan leather seat to withstand the environment
▪ Modern technology - 6-speed transmission, electronic fuel injection and counter-balancing

History of the Indian Scout
The original Indian Scout models were built by Indian Motorcycle Company from 1920-1949, with the 101 Scout being hailed as the best motorcycle ever made by the brand. The others were the Standard Scout, Thirty-Fifty Scout, Sport Scout and Military Scout. Military Scouts were commonly used by British and Commonwealth forces in World War II.

The 101 Scout has possibly the most iconic design of all the models. The frame, including fork rake, longer wheelbase and lower seat height made it popular with racers and trick riders. In fact, the 101 is used to this day in “wall of death” stunt shows.

Since the war, the original Scouts were discontinued and replaced with 648, 249 and 250 models. However the 101 was still being ridden, with a modified Indian Scout setting a land speed record of 183.586 mph in 1967.

The Gilroy Scout was the last motorcycle to be manufactured from 2001-2003, with 5 speed transmission and 88 cubic inch engine.

The 2015 Indian Scout has been worth the wait; merging the history-changing 101 model with high quality modern technology. Visit http://www.hbcmotorcycles.co.uk to get an Indian Motorcycle brochure or to get directions to their showroom.
