(September 15, 2014) Los Angeles, CA –Pants off Racing (POR) announces the first annual Almost 10K (and 5K) Again race for Pancreatic Cancer at Malibu Creek State Park on September 20, 2014.   This is the second year pants off racing is holding the event to raise funds to assist families and support pancreatic cancer victims.

This year’s course includes an almost 10K run, 5K run, and 1 mile fun run/walk. The 10K race starts and end at the Malibu State Park Welcome Center. To register for the event, participants should log onto http://www.imathlete.com/events/POR.  The 10K begins at 9:20 am followed by the 5K and 1 mile fun run/walk.

“Last’s year’s event was more successful than we could have ever imagined,” said Pat Amato, Co-Founder of POR.  “We hope the expansion of this year’s event  to include the 1 mile fun run/walk  will attract more families and generate even more money to help support those in need.”

POR mission is to provide a positive influence to those we assist, by using our resources to provide support to those in need.  POR started as a non-profit focused on helping pancreatic cancer patients and their families.  As their efforts grew, POR found it difficult to turn down other requests, so know we help families affected by serious illnesses.  Last year’s race raised over $50,000 to support families and victims who suffer from pancreatic cancer and other strong illnesses.
