MONTPELIER TOMORROW is a family drama about a mid-life mom who steps in to help when her son-in-law is diagnosed with ALS. She moves into her daughter’s house to become the dying man’s caregiver, but finds that there are some things even goodwill can’t fix. This timely novel allows readers who’ve accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge to learn why the disease puts families at risk. According to the The US Review of Books, “MONTPELIER TOMORROW is an exceptional read. A mix of sadness and humor, it is indeed a story that should be read many times.” It was a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award, the IPPY Award, and the INDIE Awards. Marylee MacDonald’s short stories have won the Barry Hannah Prize, the Ron Rash Award, the American Literary Review Fiction Award, and others.
