LOS ANGELES - Sept. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Let freedom ring on Sept. 17 to celebrate Constitution Day.

"Night of the Bells" asks Americans to stand outside from 8 to 8:01 p.m. on Wednesday to ring a bell, say a prayer for our nation and light a candle alone or with friends assembled from street corners to churches and court houses in the public square.

"Bells proclaim peace, love or joy in America," says Karen Kenney, coordinator of the San Fernando Valley Patriots (SFVP). "The world is gone mad with terrorists and tyrants crushing those seeking liberty.

"Faith and freedom are cornerstones of our Constitution and the American spirit," she adds. "This simple act of civics honors our heritage and the dignity of the human spirit."

The SFVP suggests reciting the "Lord's Prayer," the "Aaronic Blessing" (NUM 6:24) and the preamble to the U.S. Constitution to respect the Judeo-Christian roots of the Founding principles and documents of America.

The SFV Patriots will host its "Night of the Bells" from 7:45 to 8:15 p.m. in front of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 15520 Ventura Blvd., Encino 91436. Parking is available on the street or half a block West at the Corner Bakery (15626 Ventura Blvd.) where they will meet after for coffee or dessert to toast the ratification of our nation's birth certificate on Sept. 17, 1787.
