Dachshund Appreciation Society Launches and is going viral

GLASGOW, Scotland - Sept. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- It has only been a month since the launch of http://dachshundappreciationsociety.com but already commentators have been blown away by its popularity. No one expected for the dachshund appreciation society to be so popular, with some people referring to it as a looming viral phenomenon!


The project started as a simple facebook fan page ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dachshund-Appreciation-Society/261666154029694 )  dedicated to celebrating all things dachshund, but when its founder found that such a passionate and energetic community had sprung up virtually overnight, it was felt that much more could be done. Fast forward one month exactly, and there is now a website and a You Tube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCazxe8PAYjABeM0o4dDv-NA ), in addition to the Facebook page that started it all off.

People seem to love the mix of gorgeous dachshund images, funny memes and incredibly useful content that the project develops, often with posts and images being seen by thousands of people.

The Dachshund Appreciation Society founder, commenting on the projects success, stated:

"This has all been such an incredible surprise! I never knew my facebook page would take off the way that it did, but the popularity only encouraged me on to do more for the community. When you put something out there for public consumption, there is nothing as rewarding as seeing people enjoy your work. I actually think that its one of the nicest feelings in the world."
