By: JOYJO ABOUT THE ARTISTS Joy Hopwood who is the originator of the concept was a former Play School presenter / actor / author / film maker / artist who enjoys painting the whimsical backgrounds of various locations, both local and around the world. Joy is inspired by her collection of photos of her dream holiday destinations. Her naïve style, bright use of colour and simplicity are inspired by Ken Done and Kerrie Lester. She is constantly creating characters and stories in her mind that come to life either on film, paper or canvas. Joolie Green, exhibiting visual artist and member of Japan Art Directory in Australia, whose work has been described as “Cleverly balanced to entice both the child and adult imagination” JOYJO will be exhibited at Sweets Gallery, 12th October, 2014 Part of the Feasts of Flavours festival in Summer Hill.
