Follow on Google News | DLF Foundation responds to J&K floods, sends 6000 kg of relief suppliesBy: fortunaPR A team of DLF Foundation and its associates are currently in Srinagar to assist in the relief work. Lt Gen Rajender Singh, the CEO of DLF Foundation said “The DLF group would like to express our solidarity with the Indian armed forces and other agencies working in the flood relief for their unstinted efforts in mitigating the disaster in this hour of crisis. We also stand solidly behind the efforts of the J&K State government and the central government in their efforts to bring succor to the flood affected population”. He further reaffirmed , DLF Foundation would like to take this social commitment and stated that they would never be found wanting in their commitment to help the needy and distressed communities. “There are 1000 kits weighing about 6 kg each and includes food items like biscuits, bread and namkeens, packaged drinking water, milk powder, bread, roasted gram, blanket, torch, hygiene kits, among others. We will be sending more supplies in the coming days,” said Gayatri Paul, Director – Programmes, DLF Foundation. During the Uttarakhand floods, too, DLF Foundation had made generous contributions in cash and kind for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims. End
