Valley Energy in Canton, Connecticut Helps Raise Awareness to Fight Hunger

CANTON, Conn. - Sept. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Valley Energy staff members in Canton, Connecticut wore orange on September 4^th to help ‘raise awareness and fight hunger’ in support of September being named nationwide as Hunger Action Month.

In addition to “Wearing Orange for Hunger Relief” in Connecticut, the staff collected food and personal care items for presentation to the Connecticut Food Bank. Food items collected included fruit juices, soups, rice, canned vegetables and fruits, pastas and sauces. Personal care items include shampoos, conditioners, dental care items, diapers, detergent, deodorant, shaving items and hairbrushes.

Valley Energy has been delivering home heating oil and installing energy efficient equipment for over 25 years. In 2010, Valley Energy also began delivering of propane to homes and businesses in the region.
