By: Missionlines.com Internationally renowned, major exhibitions of McMillen have encircled the globe, from Sidney to Seoul and Taiwan to Paris. Michael C. McMillen is a mixed-media artist based in Los Angeles. Using found objects and materials amassed over time, McMillen creates multi-sensory installations, assemblages, sculptures, paintings and films that transport the viewer into a made-up world, completely imagined by the artist. McMillen is represented by L.A. Louver gallery in Venice, CA. He has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. A retrospective of his work was presented at the Oakland Museum of California in 2011.
