JEL Manufacturing LLC is a new business setup by the owners of FESCO Direct and undisclosed partners to specialize in the manufacturing of conveyors, radial stackers and hoppers. While both firms are modest in size, Matthew Gladen, the managing partner of FESCO Direct, cites the opportunity for JEL Manufacturings potential to partner with other regional distribution firms similar to FESCO Direct as reason to incorporate and operate the entities separately.  "FESCO Direct is a complete resource to concrete plant owners, and we will call on JEL Manufacturing to enhance our product, but as manufacturing grows we don't want to loose our identity and just be know as a conveyor company.  The opportunities between the companies while complimentary are unique in both short and long term considerations" Gladen said.

Equipment offerings will include straight belt conveyors of various lengths, radial stackers of various lengths and hoppers of various size and arrangement.  The company has pre-engineered various designs to utilize at the company standards, but custom design and engineering is also available. The use of pre engineered designs allows the quick manufacture and rapid assemble of equipment at prices lower than other manufactures of concrete plant equipment. The ability of providing custom design allows the company to tackle the tough projects that are otherwise difficult to coordinate with other manufacturers, although management cautions the number of custom projects will be limited as will overall production.

When Gladen was asked why he expected to have such a price advantage in building conveyors, radial stackers and hoppers, he responded "Because the big guys don't want that business.  They are busy on the big plants and projects. Those projects require the most skill and provide the best profit.  We can supply the individual and one off conveyors, radial stackers and hoppers keeping our guys busy between projects and freeing up our big manufacturers to speed delivery on larger projects.  It's a win, win for everyone."
