Broken Silence, New Anti-Bullying Film, To Begin Production

HOBOKEN, N.J. - Sept. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- (Hoboken, New Jersey) September 9th 2014---Broken Silence is an anti-bullying film that is based on  real-life stories highlighting the dangers of bullying. The film is directed by Frank Gigante and co-directed by Enrico Muzzi. Gigante stated, “Having Muzzi on board to co-direct this film is very important to me, his expertise and technical knowledge can only make this project better.” Gregory Horoupian has also signed on as the line producer.

Broken Silence was inspired by the increasing news reports about teenage suicide and depression. Depression and suicide are at an all time high across the board, especially for teenagers and children. Gigante believes that life is too short for anyone, let alone a child, to go through it unhappy and bullied. Gigante’s film Broken Silence encourage those who have been bullied to break free and say something. With the emergence of the internet and popularity of social media, cyberbullying has provided a new gateway for bullies.

The plot is told through the eyes of Fran, a quiet teenager who is consistently the victim of bullying. Lacking friends or support, Fran is often the target victim of the “popular” crowd.  Each day at school is a battle for survival, a feeling that so many other teens feel and experience.

Frank Gigante is an Italian-American filmmaker who started his career in Italian sitcoms. Soon after that, Gigante turned to directing.
