LOVELAND, Ohio - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock will address veterans seeking employment in the Denver area. The military-to-civilian firm RecruitMilitary is producing an All-Veteran Career Fair at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on September 11. Disabled American  Veterans (DAV) will sponsor the event, which will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.

“The men and women of our armed forces have made a commitment to this great nation, and it’s our responsibility to ensure that they have the opportunities that they need – like finding gainful employment – once they return to civilian life. I’m proud and honored to support RecruitMilitary in that effort,” Mayor Hancock said.

More than 70 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies have already reserved exhibitor booths at the Expo. They include: USAA; HCA Healthcare; The Home Depot; Schlumberger; DeVry University; Verizon Wireless; Xcel Energy; The Kroger Co.; United States Patent & Trademark Office; Seagate Technology; Groendyke Transport, Inc.; US Bank; Edward Jones; Starbucks Coffee Company; and Western Union.

RecruitMilitary helps organizations excel by leveraging the talent of our nation’s finest people, our veterans. Founded in 1998, the company produces over 100 all-veteran job fairs nationwide, giving tens of thousands of veterans an opportunity to interact with leading employers and other organizations (http://recruitmilitary.com/employers/expos). In addition, the company offers the largest and most complete database of veteran talent, with over 715,000 members (http://recruitmilitary.com/employers/resume-database).

Peter Gudmundsson, CEO of RecruitMilitary and a former officer in the United States Marine Corps, said, “What drives our firm is that today’s veterans constitute a great treasure of talent and skill. It is in the commercial interest of employers to attract, hire, appreciate, and retain that talent. Fundamentally, veterans represent an opportunity for companies, rather than an obligation or a destination for charity.”

RecruitMilitary has produced Opportunity Expos since 2006. Company leaders are available to speak and write on any topic related to veteran hiring, job search, and tapping the veteran talent pipeline for organizational excellence
