GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- For the sixth year, Warner Norcross & Judd LLP and Fifth Third Bank will co-sponsor an ArtPrize venue in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids featuring its largest collection of artists to date.

This year, Warner Norcross and Fifth Third will be the fifth largest ArtPrize venue, with 49 artists installing their works in indoor and outdoor spaces.  Thirty-four artists are local to Michigan, 14 artists are from around the country and one international artist from France.  Artwork will include sculptures, photographs, painting, fiber, mixed and other media.

The 111 Lyon Street NW location is perfectly centered in the downtown footprint of ArtPrize.  The venue offers a variety of spaces to showcase each entry, and will feature three large-scale outdoor installations in addition to the 46 hosted indoors throughout the main lobby and first floor.

“With 49 artists, this is our biggest year yet as an ArtPrize venue,” said Douglas E. Wagner, managing partner of Warner Norcross.  “Since 2009, ArtPrize has drawn people to connect wonderful, thought-provoking art, to each other and to the city of Grand Rapids itself. We’re happy to support the event and honored to partner with Fifth Third Bank to provide a venue space for 49 local, national and international artists to share their work.”

Tom Welch, president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank Western Michigan, noted: “ArtPrize exposes Grand Rapids to a wide array of art while it helps our community connect with its neighbors and also with the country and the world. We’re excited to once again open our facility, showcase art and share it with West Michigan.”

Works hosted at Warner Norcross and Fifth Third will include traditional oil paintings and metal sculptures, however many of the 49 artists will break out of what may be considered “typical” media:
