Joseph Hutchison Selected as Colorado's Eighth Poet Laureate

FutureCycle Press congratulates Joseph Hutchison, MALALA co-editor and author of BED OF COALS, for his appointment as Colorado's newest Poet Laureate
 
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- FutureCycle Press is proud to announce that one of our own, Joseph Hutchison, has been selected as the eighth Poet Laureate of the state of Colorado.

Hutchison, with Andrea L. Watson, co-edited the Good Works anthology Malala: Poems for Malala Yousafzai, published by FutureCycle Press last year to honor Malala and benefit her educational charity, the Malala Fund (http://www.malala.org). The book is available in paperback and Kindle editions through the Catalog tab at http://www.futurecycle.org. Also available here is Bed of Coals, a volume of Hutchison's poetry published by the press this year. He is the author of 15 collections of poems, including Marked Men, Thread of the Real, and The Earth-Boat. He makes his living as a commercial writer and as an adjunct professor of graduate-level writing and literature at the University of Denver’s University College. He and his wife, yoga instructor Melody Madonna, live in the mountains southwest of Denver.
