Powerful New Wordpress Portfolio Plugin

Pizzazz is Software Designed to Help Creative Professionals Land Work

PORTLAND, Ore. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Blue Bridge Development has unveiled their latest Wordpress plugin, Pizzazz Portfolio.  It helps creative professionals showcase their work in an attractive and flexible format. The plugin uses javascript effects to organize categories and work slides to create a seamless one page experience for potential clients. The initial launch features two themes, one of which is targeted towards web designers and developers and uses a laptop as the main image viewer. Both themes are highly customizable, enabling site owners to choose between color themes and various visual tweaks to match their existing design. The plugin also possesses unique functionality with call to action buttons and custom fields.

The software developers are based out of Portland Oregon and have created several solutions for the open source CMS market. John Hooley, Blue Bridge's owner, explained, "As a long time web developer I know how important portfolios are in building trust for potential clients. They don't know you from Adam and are extremely wary of wasting time contacting vendors who aren't trustworthy or capable. And this doesn't just apply to web development: any creative professional who sells their services via the web faces this obstacle. Portfolios are the proven method to overcome client fears and are particularly effective because they're image based and communicate far more to clients than sales copy."

Though designed as hosted blogging software, WordPress is used in a variety of content management and publishing roles. It commands the largest market share for software of its type with over 15.8 billion pages served via WordPress sites each month. Within the plugin repository that is used to extend its functionality, there are 254 plugins tagged as portfolio software. Blue Bridge chose to develop Pizzazz for the WordPress market because, "We were very surprised at the quality of the existing solutions. We reviewed search traffic and it seemed to us that WordPress users we're having a hard time finding plugins to meet this need, even with the sizable number of plugins billing themselves as portfolio software."
