Partstash: A New Place For Parts & Cars

The easiest way to buy, sell, and trade parts and cars locally.

SEATTLE - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- If you use the internet to find cars or parts, but find the options out there tedious, then Christmas is coming early this year.

A clean, centralized, intuitive, user-friendly resource for finding cars and parts doesn’t really exist. Enter Partstash, a Seattle-area startup that plans to change that by redesigning the way these sites work.

So just what is Partstash? It’s an online hub designed to be the easiest way to buy, sell, and trade parts and cars locally.

How It Started

Nick Mealey, web-developer and CEO of Partstash, loves cars (actually all the founders do). It was through their shared frustration of current buy/sell/trade auto sites that the idea for Partstash was born.

Another Nick on the team had this to say: “We were sitting around and we asked ourselves: why can’t we find a part when we need it? People aren’t posting the cars or parts we know they have. And when they do, it gets crowded out by dealerships listing every vehicle in their inventory. What’s out there is just complicated and annoying. We decided to change it.”

Features

Partstash has built some powerful features into the site. Up first is some serious search horsepower. If someone on the site has it, you’ll find it. You can filter for parts using a bunch of specifics, and when you find something you like, you can connect with the seller immediately or throw it in your ‘bucket’ for later.

If you can’t find your car or part, then leave it to ‘The Watchman’ feature and get notified by email or text automatically when something you’re looking for hits the site.

Part-outs are also easier. Simply list your vehicle, select all the vehicle parts you want to sell, then batch upload your photos and post dozens of parts with one click.

If you’re a dealership, junk yard, or just flipping cars for cash, Partstash lets you keep track of how each of your listings is doing in real time by tracking how much visibility each of your posts gets and how much you’ve earned over time.

Mission:

When asked how Partstash is deferent than Craigslist, the team explains: “We’re not creating a ‘different’ Craigslist, we’re building something new. We’re working with scrap yards, dealerships, and car manufacturers to become an end to end online auto experience. We’re making the entire process easy, spam and hassle-free for users, while dealerships and junk yards will have to purchase corporate accounts and abide by all the anti-spam rules we’ve put in place. If you’re looking for a part or a car, our goal is to help you find it, wherever it is.”

Partstash.com will launch officially in September all along the West Coast.
