The Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park Is Almost Here!

AUBURN, N.Y. - Sept. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Set to take place on Saturday, September 27, the Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park is only three short weeks away and hundreds of participants have already signed on. This year's event promises to  be bigger, better, and muddier than ever before, with acres of new courses and several new obstacles.

Also on board this year are several new sponsors, many of them nationally recognized. This year, Bacon Bandits will be the exclusive food sponsor, and Shock Top will be the official beverage provider. Prizes for best costumes and more will be presented, courtesy of Wal-Mart and Fleet Feet. Chief Big Way has also signed on to perform during the event. Marianne Sierk, co-host of The Brother Wease Morning Show on 95.1 The Brew, will be on-hand and participating in the event.

Participants can expect many of their favorite obstacles to make an appearance this year, but with nearly 600 additional acres of terrain added to the courses, come prepared for some new challenges. Courses are also structured differently this year, giving mud runners options for additional twists, turns and loops for an all-new experience.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park support the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage, a nonprofit retreat and respite offering families with children experiencing life-altering health conditions a place to stay and relax. Last year, the event raised nearly $20,000 for this cause, thanks to the more than 1,500 participants who got down and dirty to support a great cause, achieve personal goals, and get as muddy as humanly possible.
