Blue Print For Affordable Housing Meeting In San Jose California Thursday Sept. 11

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sept. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- There is an extreme and immediate need for more affordable housing in San Jose California. The “Blue Print for Affordable Housing” will be presented on Thursday September 11, 2014 at San Jose City Plaza, by SHHAC: The Sacred Heart Housing Action Coalition and the Affordable Housing Network. The meeting will commence at 5:00 PM with the undeniable purpose that; “People Who Work Here Should Be Able to Live Here”.

The theme Help Us “BUILD A HOUSE”, is so that the San Jose City Council will receive votes for the HIGHEST ALLOWABLE Housing Impact Fee.

The meeting will be a time for people to come together to build a symbolic house and to hear testimony of many housing struggles by those most impacted within the San Jose community.

Attendees are invited to also attend the second public input meeting following, to discuss the impact fee at City Hall after the testimonies.

SHHAC is an advocacy group fighting for funding for more affordable housing in San Jose, California.  This most recent campaign is to guarantee the residential impact fee be passed by years end at the highest allowable fee of $28/ft.  This will fund 16,800 affordable units by 2040.

Everyone affected by the housing crisis is invited to come out and support, speak up and stand up for more affordable housing in San Jose California.
