SOLitude's New Hire is First in the World to Hold Lake Management Degree

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Sept. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- SOLitude Lake Management, an industry leader in lake and pond management, fisheries management and related environmental services for the Eastern United States, is pleased to welcome Derek Johnson to the team.  Derek is the first person to hold a Master of Science in Lake Management.  He received his graduate degree from SUNY Oneonta in New York and focused his research and thesis on writing a comprehensive lake management plan for a lake association in New York.

Derek holds the designation of Certified Lake Manager through the North American Lake Management Society, an organization that brings scientists and professionals together to foster the management and protection of lakes and reservoirs, and has over four years of experience in lake, pond and fisheries management.  Derek's undergraduate degree, from Paul Smith's College in New York, is a Bachelor of Science in Fish and Wildlife Management with a concentration in fisheries management.
