FIAT of Fairfield County Announces Alfa Romeo Brand's Upcoming U.S. Return

STAMFORD, Conn. - Sept. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- This fall, FIAT of Fairfield County will once again be offering Alfa Romeo vehicles after the brand's 18-year absence from the U.S., making it one of the first official Alfa Romeo dealers in the country.

FIAT of Fairfield County, which will be the only dealer to offer Alfa Romeo vehicles in Connecticut, will also be introducing the brand-new 4C model, according to a company representative, which is being referred to as an "affordable supercar" by some experts.

"The first cars will be arriving this fall," said the representative. "The first 500 models to arrive will be fully-loaded 'launch editions,' costing $69,695 including destination. The regular starting price for the Alfa Romeo 4C will be $55,195."

The 4C is a two-seat sports car boasting sleek, smooth and distinctly Italian design. The car's interior features all-leather seating and a seven-inch display screen, and the vehicle comes equipped with a "237-horsepower, 1.7-liter, turbocharged engine," a USA Today article reported.

The first Alfa Romeo cars to arrive in the U.S. will be 4Cs, the representative said, with a full line of Alfa Romeo models to come soon after.

"We expect to see a full model line released in the next 18 months," the representative said. "The Alfa Romeo brand is coveted among many Americans, so I fully believe the 4C model will be extremely popular."

Alfa Romeo vehicles are famous for having appeared in the film "The Graduate," and their iconic status in pop culture will also be a draw for many buyers, the representative said.

"Everyone at FIAT of Fairfield County is excited to witness the return of such an iconic brand in the motoring world to the United States," the representative said. "We think people are going to look at this car and fall in love with it."
