Tata Elxsi—Technology Showcase and Product launch at IBC 2014

This IBC, Tata Elxsi announces new accelerator platforms and solutions targeted at both engineering/R&D and customer-service/operations across the Broadcast industry. In addition, newer services & solutions are unveiled for content owners and broadcasters.

Tata Elxsi will demonstrate one of the industry’s first RDK reference solutions for deployment in Europe integrated with Tata Elxsi’s own DVB suite. This takes the step forward to enable RDK adoption globally. Tata Elxsi’s new ‘Prime’ RDK suite, based on HTML5, extends the capabilities of RDK with an app store framework, newer interactive applications and an extensible user experience framework for MSOs.

A newer version of Tata Elxsi’s test automation tool – FalconEye will be showcased. FalconEye enables fast and reliable testing of set-top-box and other broadcast equipments. It comes integrated with an all new, powerful user experience monitoring mechanism. Such user experience level monitoring is expected to be widely adopted and used by operators globally.

An all new approach in the industry to reduce service costs will be showcased by Tata Elxsi during the show. The solution aims to achieve 35%-45% reduction in truck-rolls, service failures, improved resource efficiency and faster service deployment.

Demonstrations targeted at broadcasters will feature several other solutions – with an intelligent content discovery engine and an audio-video quality monitoring tool allowing user experience level testing and monitoring for OTT and VoD services.
