Chicago's Poetic Storyteller writes 1st book

CHICAGO - Sept. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Flying Turtle Publishing announces the release of Firefly and Little Star, a children's book written by Oba William King, Chicago's Poetic Storyteller. The story follows two friends on an adventure that embraces themes of caring, belonging and confidence.

Oba William King is recognized as one of the most exciting storytellers of his peer group. Since his debut with the National Association of Black Storytellers at the San Diego conference in 2006, Oba has ignited audiences with his ability to combine professional theatrical training with a distinct poetic style. Oba is an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship Award Recipient in Traditional Folk Arts. He is also the founder of JustUs Arts, a group which provides Cultural Arts Presentations for schools and community groups throughout Illinois.
