LAS VEGAS - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV – Lord Neil Gibson has been granted a court-ordered stipulation in the State Of California against Nick V. Fleming, requiring him to remove content that was deemed slanderous and defamatory in a previous judgment.  Within the language of this stipulation, Fleming is ordered to enforce the efforts toward removal of content that is indexed on the servers of Google as mirrors of content which originated on sites he created.  The previous judgment stated that Fleming must remove content from websites he created, thus insuring that Google would not index these pages in regards to searches for "Lord Neil Gibson" or any variation of it.  The removal of the content from these websites did achieve the goal of de-indexing them from Google, however the content was later found to be copied and placed on websites outside of Fleming's control, creating the re-indexing of the same content that was previously ordered removed.  While Fleming himself may not be able to directly remove the copied content as it is no longer under his control, he has been ordered to comply with court orders to take steps towards the removal of this content from associated websites.  Through this stipulation, Fleming must be provided with a mechanism to comply with the court, and Google must provide him with the name of the author of the websites so contact can be made.  As another option, Google can directly remove this content from its servers manually as it is proven to not be the property of the website owners.  This stipulation has been forwarded to Google for consideration, and the response is being awaited by Lord Neil Gibson.

This situation has been an ongoing issue for Gibson, who first was made aware of the slander attack against him through searching on Google for his name.  "In my business, reputation is everything and multi-million dollar deals hang in the balance on trust.  When there is someone out there providing false information about you, there must be an ability to control the information presented that people are seeing as factual.  If anyone can simply write anything about you and it is presented on Google in the same way that verified facts are presented, then there is a problem with the system.  All we are  asking is for the ability to remove items which have no basis in fact, and were purposely created to harm a reputation," a Gibson representative stated when interviewed.

It is unfortunate that the system of researching information can be so easily manipulated to present people a certain way, even though there is no truth to the matter.  Through the court system, Neil Gibson is seeking the ability for people to control the truth about them, and present legitimate facts about their life and business dealings.  Without this ability, there is no method in the modern world of easily finding out a person's background, or a business information stream.  Through enforcement of this stipulation, Google is required not to verify information itself, but is required to remove information that has been proven as faulty.
