Follow on Google News | New Children’s Book Dedicated to Reinforce the Importance of Big DreamsBy: MEIVA Publishing Aimed at ages three to eight years old this lively picture book focuses on the how important it is to dream and to use ones imagination. The book is inscribed with a message to young readers, “This is your world, take it!” According to author Sherry Rollins Jojo the dreamer shows children that they can “be anything” and that when they dream they should “dream big!” Illustrator Jeremy Rollins explains that the character of Jojo the dreamer was inspired by their three year old son when the books were written. The illustrations are based off a likeness of him around the age of five. Their son is now in middle school as it has taken nearly a decade to complete the illustrations. Sherry Rollins wrote all eight books in 2003, yet the illustrations did not begin to emerge for another five years and furthermore were not completed until five years after the first image of Jojo was rendered. Jojo the dreamer is depicted as a pirate, a superhero, a storm chaser, an astronaut, and in many other adventurous roles throughout Jojo the Dreamer: The Adventures of a young Mind (MEIVA Publishing; August 2014; $7.95 paperback). The book is now available for purchase at http://www.jojothedreamer.com as well as a free PDF ebook download found on the site and ebook downloads in all major app stores. The book will be available in local bookstores soon. Jojo the Dreamer is featured on children’s placemat menus at Rizzi’s Pizza in Arlington, TN.
