Blueprint LSAT Prep Students Increase Practice Test Scores by 11 Points

Blueprint LSAT is pleased to announce an 11 point average score increase on practice tests taken by spring 2014 students.

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Blueprint Test Preparation, a national LSAT prep company, has announced the results of its 2014 practice exam score increase study: Blueprint students improve their LSAT practice test scores by an average of eleven (11) points. In celebration of these results, Blueprint is offering an 11% discount to any student who signs up for an LSAT prep class before October 5th, 2014 with the coupon code BP11.

The study was conducted in the spring of 2014, and included all qualifying students (first time Blueprint students in classroom courses who took all six practice tests) in Blueprint classes across the country. The average score increase was calculated from students’ first practice exam to their best practice exam score.

The LSAT is scored on a scale from a 120 (the lowest possible score) to a 180 (the highest possible score). Because the LSAT score is essentially curved, eleven points on the LSAT translates to a large percentage increase. For instance, a score increase from a 150 to a 161 on the exam can move a student from the 44th to the 83rd percentile.

In addition to the eleven-point increase, Blueprint students obtained the following results:

-  87.97% of students increased their LSAT practice test score by 5 or more points.
- 58.51% of students increased their LSAT practice test score by 10 or more points.
- 25.73% of students increased their LSAT practice test score by 15 or more points.

Blueprint conducts its score increase study every three years. In 2008, Blueprint students averaged a 10-point practice exam increase. In 2011, it was 11 points. Blueprint founder Matt Riley commented: “I’m incredibly pleased that our score studies continue to show how effectively our curriculum helps students increase their LSAT scores.”

In order to redeem the 11% discount, students may sign up for a course online with the code BP11, or call the Blueprint office at 1-888-4-BP-PREP.

Details of the Study:
The score increase study was conducted in the spring of 2014 and included all qualifying students in Blueprint classroom courses across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, Austin and Berkeley.

To qualify for the study, students had to take all four proctored practice tests given in the course. The study excluded self-study students who did not attend a live class. Repeat students were also excluded.

The score increase was calculated from students’ first practice exam to their best score. Using the first to last practice exam convention, the average score increase was nine (9) points. The score increase data was calculated by the accounting firm of BPE&H using test results taken directly from the Blueprint database.
