NEW YORK - Sept. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- David Britt will be a featured guest on The Jimmy Star Show live radio/tv show hosted by King of Cool Jimmy Star along with Cool Man About Town Ron Russell and Hollywood Vixen Deidra Sarego to discuss his upcoming album, his career, and the entertainment industries at large. The Jimmy Star Show is radio’s coolest hit show, featuring the coolest in music, entertainment, fashion and pop culture, all from a fun industry insider perspective in a completely live, unedited fast-paced two-hour conversational format.

Born October 1st 1975 and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, David Britt started playing violin at age 3 and started singing in the church choir a few years later. He always loved music and had dreams of wanting to write and sing his whole life, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that he actually got started and realized his calling was to be a singer and songwriter. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 where he was an ACC Tennis Champion, David was working as a commercial real estate broker. Although he loved the thrill of doing real estate deals he just couldn’t seem to get music out of his mind. He constantly listened to country music and dreamed of writing his first song. As most artists will tell you, in order to start writing there is always a catalyst, especially in country music. One usually goes through some kind of life changing event before writing their first note. Love found, love lost, heart break etc. You can say David had some of that for sure in his world, and in turn, it got him into writing music where he has written several hundred songs to date. Although that was the kick starter for his music, today he writes about all kinds of things. David is all across the board. From one day to the next you never know what he just might write about, but no matter what it comes from the heart whether it’s happy, sad, or funny. He is a die hard romantic and nearly everything he writes comes from personal experiences he has had in his life. David’s music is real. That’s the only way to be he says. The instruments David plays are guitar, fiddle and mandolin.

He credits The Oak Ridge Boys, Elvis, Hank Sr., and Dolly Parton as artists that inspired him growing up. He would sing with his Dad all the time to their music. Joe Bonsall of The Oak Ridge Boys has actually become a very good friend of David’s and has really been supportive of his music. David is very thankful for his relationship with Mr. Bonsall and thinks the world of him and all the Oak Ridge Boys. David also loves to listen to Dave Matthews who has been a big influence as well. Although their music isn’t quite the same, you can still see it’s character come out in many of David’s songs. Another really neat relationship he has is with renowned country music singer songwriter Jimmy Wayne. David is a huge fan of his music and actually got to know him when Jimmy kindly and graciously offered to help him on his country cover of Michael Jackson’s hit song Billie Jean. David says that he will never forget what Jimmy did and marks it has a defining moment in his music career.

After releasing his first and only album titled David Britt in 2012, David released several other singles on his own until signing with Spectra Music Group in early 2014. Spectra will be releasing his second album Country Flow in 2015 which was produced by David’s longtime producer and engineer, Jason Scavone. When David isn’t in the studio or writing music he loves to spend his time with his two children, a boy and a girl, in Charlotte, North Carolina. David loves coaching their baseball and soccer teams and taking them fishing whenever he has the chance. David is as passionate as they come about music and plans to write and sing for many, many years to come.

The Jimmy Star Show is pleased to showcase the expertise and talent of David Britt  and all anticipate a fun and informative time talking with him about his career and the entertainment industries at large..
