LOVELAND, Ohio - Sept. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- RecruitMilitary, the nation’s leading military-to-civilian recruitment firm, is honoring Linda Clark as a “Veteran Hiring Leader Who Makes a Difference” in the September/October 2014 issue of Search & Employ®, its print and digital magazine. Clark is director of human resources talent management at Seventy Seven Energy, an oilfield services company based in Oklahoma City.

RecruitMilitary will honor 15 hiring leaders in this issue; the company plans to recognize more such men and women in later issues. A panel of four veteran hiring experts at RecruitMilitary nominated the 15 honorees.

All of the honorees have multiple years of experience recruiting veterans and share a passion for veteran hiring and service. Many of the honorees are veterans, while others are members of military families. Clark is married to a retired United States Marine.

Peter Gudmundsson, CEO of RecruitMilitary and a former Marine officer, said, “We seek to draw attention to those individuals who get beyond ‘Rose Garden Recruiting’ target announcements, and really accomplish the front-line work of making sure that America’s leading companies take advantage of the opportunity to hire high-quality veteran talent. In a nation that generates a lot of noise about veterans and employment, these leaders propel their organizations to the front by actually hiring America’s best.”

Clark noted that one of the best things about her job is the opportunity to work with leaders and colleagues who are committed to a high volume of veteran hiring. “I love the enthusiasm at every level when we discuss veteran interactions and opportunities to provide a path to oilfield-services success,” she said.

Gudmundsson hopes that honoring leaders like Clark will spur more veteran hiring and spread their lessons learned to others. He said that “what drives our firm is that today’s veterans constitute a great treasure of talent and skill. It is in the commercial interest of employers to attract, hire, appreciate, and retain that talent. Fundamentally, veterans represent an opportunity for companies, rather than an obligation or a destination for charity. Furthermore, we know that readers of Search & Employ® will understand and appreciate what our honorees have been doing. Their success helps all of us.”

RecruitMilitary distributes 58,000 print copies of the magazine bimonthly to military installations worldwide, National Guard and reserve units, men and women who attend its all-veteran job fairs, and veteran hiring leaders. The digital magazine is linked to three RecruitMilitary newsletters and the website at www.recruitmilitary.com.

RecruitMilitary helps organizations excel by leveraging the talent of our nation’s finest people, our veterans. Founded in 1998, the company produces over 100 all-veteran job fairs nationwide, giving tens of thousands of veterans an opportunity to interact with leading employers and other organizations (http://recruitmilitary.com/employers/expos). In addition, the company offers the largest and most complete database of veteran talent, with over 715,000 members (http://recruitmilitary.com/employers/resume-database).

Company leaders are available to speak and write on any topic related to veteran hiring, job search, and tapping the veteran talent pipeline for organizational excellence.
