Spanish students spend an eventful day at a study trip in Jávea

Visiting the beach, hiking to a cave which is underwater, the cape of Saint Anton and a spectacle with bulls were the highlights of a unforgettable excursion

VALENCIA, Spain - Sept. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Valencia. The summer and the good weather tempt a lot of people who are interested in learning Spanish to the city Valencia. A language school offers the optimal opportunity for those not only to learn the Spanish language but also to experience the culture with different activities. The best example is the excursion to Jávea of last Sunday.

The bus started from Valencia and went to Jávea where the language students could experience various stations. After a short stay at the beach of Denia the students who want to learn Spanish in Valencia could decide whether they want to visit the local cave "cueva tallada". The hiking on the natural path takes approximately 45 minutes but the view at the sea is worth it even though the way is partly very deep and stony. At the end of the trail there is the cave which borders on the sea. Out of the cave you are able to swim to a cliff and to admire a special part of the nature you cannot find everywhere. Furthermore experienced or adventurous climbers can climb the rick faces and also have a look at the inside of the cave.

After having a rest at the beach the bus drove to a vantage point which is called cape of Saint Anton. There you have an impressive view over the whole city and the sea.

The last station was the harbor of Jávea where the students of the language school which is recognized by the institute Cervantes participated with the Spanish inhabitants in a local festival with bulls. Inside of a small, separated area the challengers of the bulls tried to provoke them to jump into the sea. Afterwards of course they will help the bulls to get out of the water again. The challengers are not trained bullfighters but every one of the spectators can take part in this spectacle. The area for the spectators is enclosed of bars out of steel which is the typical Spanish way. There is enough space between the bars for people to enter and leave the area very easily.

Next to the arena there was a tent in which they offer seafood tapas like scampi, tuna and shells which are caught by regional fishers.

While ordering the tapas the students can demonstrate their new language skills they have learned in Costa de Valencia, escuela de español.

The whole evening has been used to take a look at the festival and at the harbor. After an interesting and eventful day in Jávea the bus took the students back to the language school in Valencia.
