NEWMARKET, Ontario - Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Speak for Success, York-Simcoe Toastmasters presents an “Evening of Humour”, September 23, at the BWG Recreational Centre, 471 West Park Ave.Bradford, ON, L3Z 0J3, 2nd floor. This is an open house to the public from 7-9pm. Special guests Mayor Doug White, will be briefly speaking about the BWG Recreational Centre and the impact it has made for the Bradford community; Susan Lamb will be presenting her very funny and entertaining World winning speech “Why is my BUT so big”. Audience will be able to ask Susan questions about her experience, and get insight on competing in the Toastmasterʼs World Stage.

Susan Lamb has been called an inspiring and dynamic speaker by her peers. She comes to the lectern with a winning combination of passion and humour. Besides achieving her Distinguished Toastmaster, Susan is also a Speaking Coach conducting either one on one coaching sessions or group training through her company called “Out in Front”.

She is also a continuing education teacher for the Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board teaching courses called “Speaking for Success” and “Effective Communication”, and lastly, Susan is a worthy speech competitor having made it to district three times. In fact, she was the 2011 District 86 Champion and went on to represent Toastmasters in Las Vegas at the Semi Finals of the World Championships. She placed 2nd in the World. That ranked her in the top 18 speakers out of 30,000 speakers who competed from around the world. This is truly a treat for our group and other Toastmasters to hear Susan, as she is truly accomplished in her art.

Speak for Success, York-Simcoe Toastmasters 3498 will present a few of our own members presenting projects from their manuals and we will answer any questions the public may have about the educational component of our program. The public will be encouraged to join in on our “Table Topics” portion of our program. Light refreshments will be served. This is a free event.
