Fun in Fall Weekend to Provide Enjoyment for All Ages In Greater Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- A number of special events and outdoor activities seem to have fallen on the same fall weekend, making Morgantown, W.Va. the place to be Sept. 25-28. “Fun in Fall Weekend” kicks off with the Preston County Buckwheat Festival in Kingwood, W. Va. Thursday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 28. The 73rd annual country fair is set to feature Appalachian artists, amusement rides, livestock competitions, live music and stacks of buckwheat cakes smothered in butter and syrup.

Walk through Downtown Morgantown on Friday, Sept. 26 for Art is Food and the Arts Walk. For $15 you can sample some of Morgantown’s best restaurants at the Morgantown Market Place on Spruce St. from 5p.m. to 7p.m., then stroll through the tiki torches located downtown to view local artisans’ work, from 6p.m. to 9p.m.

Finish off the weekend by visiting Camp Muffly for the 21st Annual “West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival” on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11a.m. to 6p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28 from noon to 6p.m.

Admission is $20 per person, per day, which includes wine tasting and a wine glass (must be 21 years or older). Local musicians, artisans, restaurants and West Virginia wineries make this an event that “can’t be missed.” Camp Muffly is located near the I-68 and I-79 interchange.
